May 9, CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Company cooperated with Shanghai Municipal Urban Construction Company, Ningbo CSR Industrial Base Development Co., Ltd., to set up a joint venture named as Ningbo CSR Modern Transportation Construction Investment Co., Ltd. The new company will be based the turnkey project in system and resource integration to build the leading turnkey platform in providing systematic solutions. The solution includes planning, design, construction, electrical and mechanical equipment, investment and financing.   

 

　　It is understood that the new company will focus on turnkey projects in the field of public transportation and municipal engineering. Turnkey project business involves tram, trolley, urban subway, intercity rail transportation, municipal key project, rail transportation electromechanical equipment, construction projects project and etc.  

 

　　June 2010, Ningbo City signed a strategic cooperation agreement with CSR to set up 100% low-floor modern streetcar lines at CSR Industrial Park in Ningbo and build the first test line in  Yinzhou District, i.e., Ningbo Yinzhou modern tram trial line phase 1. The terrestrial line is 8 km long, and has 12 stations. The project is the first implementation project invested by this new company.
