       On September 17, CHINA RAILWAY held a meeting regarding Party building and company system reform in Beijing. Lu Dongfu, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and General Manager of CHINA RAILWAY, highlighted relevant requirements including earnestly studying the guiding principles enshrined in General Secretary Xi Jinping’s major policy addresses, conscientiously implementing the decisions and arrangements of CPC Central Committee and the State Council on strengthening Party building and reform in state-owned enterprises, further strengthening the “Four Consciousnesses” and improving political awareness, so that solid progress can be secured in Party building and company system reform in line with the two “consistent” requirements and the theme of “strengthening foundation to reach standards and improving quality and efficiency”, to welcome the successful convening of the 19th National Congress of CPC with excellent performance.

  Lu pointed out that since the 18th National Congress of CPC, CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as its core has rolled out a series of significant decisions and arrangements for strengthening Party building and reform in state-owned enterprises. Work in the railway sector has enjoyed good momentum. Lu also said that we shall adhere to the leadership of CPC, move forward with Party building and strengthen the “root” and “soul” of CHINA RAILWAY. Diligent efforts shall be made to push forward company system reform in a proactive and meticulous manner, so that a modern railway enterprise system with Chinese characteristics can be established.
