CHINA RAILWAY held the video/telephone conference for planning and statistics work on the morning of January 6, to implement tasks assigned on the working conference of the corporation and summarize planning and statistics work in last year. On the occasion, the corporation looked into the trend of development for 2017 and planed out the priority work, so as to mobilize the fundamental and leading roles of the railway planning and statistics system, and make contributions to new dimensions of railway reform and development.

　　Mr. Huang Min, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice General Manager of CHINA RAILWAY attended the event and made the remark. Mr. Huang Dianhui, Director-General of Planning and Statistics Department, presided over the meeting.

　　It has been pointed out on the meeting that thanks to the Party Leadership Group of CHINA RAILWAY, the year 2016 witnessed accomplishment of all the railway construction targets, major progress in planning development, continuous deepening of railway investment and financing reform, enhanced capacity in statistic service and a host of deliverables in key research projects.

　　The corporation analyzed the future trend and targets of railway planning and statistics work in terms of both opportunities and challenges, pointing out ten priorities for the year 2017. First, highlight strategic orientation and promote strategic planning and management. Second, deepen the reform of investment and financing, and push forward railway development in a tiered manner. Third, carry out restructuring of JVs and enhance the capacity for sustainable development. Fourth, intensify supply from sources and focus on the improvement of project quality at the primary stage. Fifth, better manage investment and improve efficiency of infrastructure investment. Sixth, make further progress in rehabilitation, and work to guarantee safety and efficiency. Seventh, elevate application for better efficiency, and aim to upgrade the allocation of equipment and resources. Eighth, live up to the requirement of the country, and do well in energy saving, environmental protection and industrial readiness. Ninth, leverage on its advantages and improve supporting capability of statistic services. Tenth, further promote self development, and take on its own role for greater success.
